Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
